How to Link your existing Mode account to a new device
Once your Mode app is activated on one device, you may want to link it to another device to read and respond to messages from multiple locations (e.g., on both your desktop and mobile). Follow the steps below to link your account to a new device:
Requirements:
- An already activated Mode app on one device (preferably Desktop, but not mandatory).
- An installed but inactive Mode app on the secondary device.
Steps:
- Open the new device.
- On the secondary device, open the newly installed Mode app. At the bottom of the screen, tap the “Link this device” option.
- Go to the Activated Mode App:
- On the already activated Mode app (preferably on your primary device), navigate to Settings > Devices > Link. You will see a QR code and Seed words; both methods can be used to link your devices.
- Link the Devices:
- On the secondary device, use the camera to scan the QR code displayed on the activated device. Alternatively, you can use the Seed words to link the devices (especially useful when linking a Desktop app to a mobile one).
Once completed, your Mode account will be linked across both devices, allowing you to read and reply to messages from anywhere!
